Material selection should follow the assembly

Insulation performance depends on density, thickness, installation continuity, vapor conditions and the surrounding wall or roof construction. Product names alone do not determine the result.

Mineral wool

Mineral wool is commonly selected where fire performance, acoustic absorption and dimensional stability are priorities. It is used in partitions, service zones and specialist ceiling systems.

Glass wool

Glass wool is lightweight and widely used for thermal and acoustic insulation in roofs, ceilings and ducts. Correct support, facing and protection are important.

Installation quality

Gaps, compression, moisture exposure and unsealed service penetrations can reduce performance. Coordinate insulation with electrical, mechanical and ceiling works before closing the assembly.
